Website Listing Service SCAMS

Y'all... don't fall for this...

A former Home Owner Association client of mine received this legitimate looking invoice among their other vendor bills.

And they almost paid it, thinking it was for their website services.

Thankfully their current web tech knows about invoice and listing scams and stopped them. He sent me a message and forwarded the invoice to me so I can share in our cyber security warnings.

If you look closely at this, "invoice" - you will see it says, "This is not a bill." However, not all of these, "invoices" state this. There are many, "domain Listings," "domain registrations," "website listings" invoices that are sent every day to unaware business owners. And they get paid...

Should we be grateful this particular statement warns us, "This is not a bill?" NAH. Because they know what they are doing.

Sneaky tactics, spamming, conning, scamming and cyber criminals piss me off.

I cannot stress enough... don't quickly pay a bill, click a link, button or open an email without really paying attention. And if you are not sure if something is legitimate, drop us a comment on any of our posts on Facebook.

Let's stop these cons.

If you have fallen for this, report them to your local BBB and Attorney General.

For this particular Domainlistings.Directory, you can report to the BBB here:

Want to hire TNW Creations for Web Development, Web Design, Digital Marketing, Hosting or Cyber Security?

Web Developer, Author, Publisher & Designer

I've been programming, designing, writing and publishing professionally online since 1995. I've worn many hats throughout my life, but the common core of my career has always been media. Besides the portfolio you see on TNW Creations, my internet presence has been substantial for over 2 decades. In 1995, while still in college, I founded TNW Creations and became part of the grassroots development for teaching the Lakhota language online. By 2004, my bilingual work was listed on many sites, including National Geographic , Encarta and Touchstone Pictures Hidalgo. When I'm not designing and writing, you'll find me managing MagicStoryLand.Com, creating kid-friendly game & video content, posting salty articles about cyber threats and SEO, leading Girl Scouts, moderating UnifyLife.Org and enjoying my  community, church & family.
