Climbing the Ranks with SEO

Take some time to analyze the links pointing to your website. You may find opportunities or potential problems.

Not all links are equal. A link from a well-respected expansive website is more valuable than multiple links from a small lesser known site.

However, those little lesser known links can become valuable very quickly as they increase across the Net. That doesn't mean more of your links on one website, that means more of your links across several websites.

Gather your link data

Your link audit starts by gathering all your link data via Google Search Console.

You can manually export your links from Google's Search Console by navigating to the dashboard here:  https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

Click on, "Links to Your Site" under Search Traffic. Then select More under "Who Links the Most" and download the newest links as a .csv file

Once you have your file, look over the links. See any problems? Any positives?

If you found a surprising link, follow up with it. Thank the website if they spoke kindly about you and address any problem areas linking to your site.

TNW Creations is a Web Development & Media Publishing Agency in Austin, Texas. Web Development, cyber security, web design, clean energy web host, Advanced SEO, Digital Marketing and more since 1995.

I've been programming, designing, writing and publishing professionally online since 1995. I've worn many hats throughout my life, but the common core of my career has always been media. Besides the portfolio you see on TNW Creations, my internet presence has been substantial for over 2 decades. In 1995, while still in college, I founded TNW Creations and became part of the grassroots development for teaching the Lakhota language online. By 2004, my bilingual work was listed on many sites, including National Geographic , Encarta and Touchstone Pictures Hidalgo. When I'm not developing and writing, you'll find me managing MagicStoryLand.Com, creating kid-friendly game & video content, investigating and initating hostile website takedowns, posting salty articles about cyber threats, moderating UnifyLife.Org and enjoying my  community, church & family.
